Dear Friends,

Today was a historic day for Lily & Eddy (my publisher) and my series, "The Tale of Didgit Cobbleheart." Around 300 people, children and adults, individuals and corporations as well as media representatives gathered in The Maestro, Level 4, Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta, to celebrate this memorable moment with our family.

I had plenty of creative and unique activities during the whole event, but one of my favorites was my "Didgit Dalang Robot" where a robot was especially designed to be able to play my wayang character.

You see, wayang or the Indonesian traditional shadow puppets was one of Indonesia's treasure heritages that slowly lost its charm in the minds of many youngsters. Therefore, my team and I had decided to combine the richness of tradition with the excitement of future technology with the help of our supportive partner, Mikrobot.

The result was quite an amazing one! A child or an adult could control the dalang robot to play the character! The marriage between tradition and modernity in this project was such a pride and joy to experience. I hope that this contribution from us could excite more young generation to preserve our heritage for future generation to own.
