Dear Friends, After a spectacular start at TK Santa Ursula, BSD, I continued my sessions at SD Santa Ursula, BSD. It was quite a walk from the kindergarten to the elementary school building since the school complex was quite large. But, from afar, I could hear the students of elementary 1-3 were singing my song! The sound from their hall was really impressive! The voices of hundreds of students singing My Name is Didgit was amazing! I got goose bumps every time they repeated the song. Its perfect! I was scheduled to do two full sessions at the elementary school. It was a hot and humid day, so I was a bit tired after the full-charge session at the TK before. But, hearing the high-spirited new friends, singing my song while waiting for me was like fresh and cold lemonade that recharged me instantly! I hurried my steps to greet them, and as I was entering their hall, every thing felt like a rock concert for me! Girls and boys were cheering and shouting when I walked in, and they rushed to shake or just touched my hands. WOW! I felt like a super star, and it really felt GREAT to be welcomed that way! To cut the story short, took the group pictures in their vast garden, and afterwards, they went back to their respective classrooms to do the coloring and message writing. All together, about 1,000 students-teachers-employees of TK and SD Santa Ursula, BSD, participated in todays events. Its a record setting for my school road shows participants. However, the amazement didnt stop there. There were two additional bonuses as well at the end of the long day. Two sisters, Cathy and Clara asked me to read my first book privately with them! They both loved my story, but unfortunately, I had to end the reading on page 15 when they both had to leave school. Then, two school magazine reporters, Sebi and Rossy, approached me to do interview with them. I was happy to share the experiences with them. It was one GREAT and MEMORABLE day for my road show team and I. Hopefully, wonderful and amazing experiences like today will repeat itself in the future. Yours truly, Didgit |
