Dear Friends,

I have so many friends from so many walks of life. One of them is Aunty Santi Heru Prakoso, the wife of Uncle Heru Prakoso, the commander of Pontianak's police squad. As the wife of a commanding police officer, Aunty Santi heads the wife's foundation called Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari's branch in Pontianak. They do many social projects including making sure that needy children in the city of Pontianak has school to go to and books to read.
Therefore, when Aunty Santi approached me to provide needy students in her area with my books, I agreed. The first 300 of my "Mencintai Flora dan Fauna Indonesia Barat" (Loving the Flora and Fauna of Western Indonesia) story and coloring books have been sent to several places like Kemala Bhayangkari kindergarden and its mini library, Posyandu Kemala Honggo Pranoto Reading Garden and Western Borneo YKB Reading Garden.
I am so happy that more needy children around Indonesia can enjoy my story and coloring books. Hopefully from the book, they can also learn how rich Indonesian flora and fauna are, and that preserving their natural environment is an extremely important thing to do for the betterment of both the children's lives as well as the environment itself.
