Dear Friends, I was so honored and blessed to be invited to participate in Alun-Alun Indonesia's 7th birthday! For you that are not familiar with Alun-Alun Indonesia, this is a high-end gallery specializing in selling wonderful great quality Indonesian handycrafts. They were also kind enough to have my books and other merchandizing products displayed at the front of the stores, and they were available for purchase for several days there. I started the day with greeting my new friends there, taking pictures together with them and then Kak Nana, my dear story teller, rocked the event by involving every one to play instruments with her while she was telling the story from my second book "The Tale of Didgit Cobbleheart and the Big Bone." The story from my second book was so in line with the mission of Alun-Alun Indonesia. We both are trying to preserve heirloom and heritage in our own ways. To appreciate and to honor what our ancestors have bestowed on us is important obligation that we all need to do to be strong individuals as well as nation. Yours truly, Didgit |
