Dear Friends,

Today, dr. Mirari Judio of the MAIN Foundation, or the Mitra Anak Indonesia Foundation, has shared a touchy and uplifting story accompanied by two pictures.

You see, dr. Mirari is a pediatrician at RSCM (the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital) in Jakarta, and she has worked with so many needy children patients.

She is so dedicated in her job that outside her hospital duty, she is also a founder of the MAIN Foundation that aims to improve the quality of life for Indonesian children who suffer from serious illnesses. It focuses on hospitalized children, and since 2011 has supported many disadvantaged children with chronic and life-threatening diseases in the RSCM hospital.

I was so touched by dr. Miraris charity and compassion, thus decided to participate a little by donating my story and coloring books Mencintai Flora & Fauna Indonesia Barat (Loving the Flora and Fauna of Western Indonesia).

Kak Awam from the Kampung Dongeng (Storytelling Village) was there as well. It doubled the joy for these children. You could see big smiles on their faces (however, I was not able to show them their clear faces out of respect for their privacy) when Kak Awam used the book to tell a story.

This is a good example that together, we can make a difference.
