Dear Friends,
If you still remember my sixth interactive comic strip from my "Soul Snacks by Didgit" then you remember how Uncle Boldo tried very hard to entertain his son, my best friend, Fuzzy. Uncle Boldo surely was a wonderful father, and he was wearing his "entertainer" hat when he tried to make Fuzzy laugh. But, according to Uncle Irwan Rinaldi and Aunty Yully Purwanti of Sahabat Ayah (Father's Best Friend), a non-profit organization aiming to support Indonesian fathers to be more actively involved in their children's upbringing, there are 7 Father's Hats that fathers need to have and wear in order to be a wonderful and caring fathers for their children. Having that many hats is not a surprise since fathers also need to play so many different roles in many aspects of their children's lives. For example, fathers should participate actively in the character development of their children so that children can grow socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually. In addition, good fathers will directly influence their children's academic performance as well as their harmonious social interaction that will be the foundation of their future lives as adults. Therefore, knowing the importance of this subject, I will help "Father's Best Friend" to spread the information in an entertaining but at the same time, educating way. I will create 6 more interactive comic strips using the concepts of: Fathers' Hats as provider, teacher, motivator, friend, coach/ trainer, counsellor. Make sure that you keep visiting my Facebook or following my Twitpic @cobbleheart to read them every Wednesday, starting in May.
