Dear Friends,

The year 2014 has witnessed tremendous change in Indonesian presidential election and inauguration. There was so much hope for change into a new Indonesia that the nation has changed a new leader named Joko Widodo, who grew up in a poor neighborhood as a kid, worked in a forest and built a furniture company before decided to be politician.

He is known as Jokowi, and was celebrated as one of the best mayor in the world when he led the city of Solo, Central Java. Two years ago, with another ground-breaking leader, a Chinese Indonesian named Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, popularly known as Ahok, against all odds, they became the Governor and Vice-Governor of the capital city of Jakarta.

The meteorite rise of Jokowi and Ahok to the leadership of Indonesia is a symbol that people want BIG CHANGE for BETTER Indonesia. They want leaders who are humble, caring and hard working to realize their hopes.

I am really hoping that they can become Dignified and Caring leaders and thus, inspired as many Indonesian possible to have the same quality so that TOGETHER, Indonesians can make its country a better place for children like us to grow up.

That is why I have decided to include them in my "D.C. Leaders Safari" project. It will also be cool if we can share with each others our idols' stories. I will put this project under the "Fan Club's-Sharing Smart Ideas" section, and hope that you will send me yours as well.
