The 100th interactive comic strip for my Soul Snacks by Didgit have been uploaded to my Facebook and Twitter/ Twitpics accounts on Wednesday, December 17, 2014.
On December 14, 2014 I was invited to perform at Seibu, Grand Indonesias Christmas event called Wishing Upon a Star. The event started at 2PM, and it took place on the childrens area, on the 2nd floor. My road show this time was really special because I combined Balinese traditional music with Christmas celebration and my story telling. The Balinese traditional music group called Taksu Bali accompanied our show through out the afternoon. They showed us how to combine Indonesian traditional music with western song like Jingle Bells. Its trully inspiring. Furthermore, everyone who was interested in learning a little bit about Balinese gamelan instruments were invited to try playing some of the instruments. I also had friends from two supportive schools, Ksatria Bangsa and Phoenix Kids School. Ksatria Bangsa contributed a Balinese inspired dance called Genjring Party. Around ten beautiful girls wore Balinese traditional costumes and danced to the tune of Balinese and pop music. My little friends from Phoenix Kids School contributed two performances. One was where they played Snow Flakes song with flutes and another one was Jingle Bells with keyboard and flute together. These performaces really add a different nuance to my story telling sessions. I had Kak Nana, my story teller, telling the stories from my first two books The Tale of Didgit Cobbleheart and His Fingers and The Tale of Didgit Cobbleherart and the Big Bone. For the first time, we had sound effects from the Balinese gamelan, and it was sooooo COOL! All and all, it was a great FUN, and a merry event for every one. If you want to see more pictures from that event, please visit my Facebook account (Go to my web: www.didgitcobbleheart.com and click the Facebooks icon on the lower right hand side) or my Twitter/ Twitpics account @cobbleheart. I can make them into cool comic formats like this one. Soul Snacks by Didgit is a weekly interactive comic strip that will be available on my Facebook and Twitter/ Twitpics accounts every Wednesday! Stay tune for the next edition, or better, send me your ideas so you can show your friends your own comic strip! Truly Yours, Didgit |
